Privacy of our email list

We will email you with occasional updates and opportunities for action. We will do our best to respect your time and attention. You can remove yourself from our email list at any time, and simple instructions on how to remove yourself will be included in any email you receive. We hope you’ll stay, because emails are a key way we organize and build our movement.

 

What Information Do We Share With Third Parties?

We partner with other organizations to build the most powerful campaigns possible. The strength of our coalition work depends on ensuring we are not duplicating efforts and using our data efficiently. We exercise discernment when sharing your information with other organizations; our coalition partners are trusted organizations that share our commitment to build a poor and working-class movement uniting people across race to put people over profit. We may share name, address, phone number, and emails as follows:

    • With vendors, coalition partners, consultants, and other service providers or volunteers who are engaged by or working with us and who need access to such information to carry out their work for us; 
    • To report required information to the Federal Elections Commission, including name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employers of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year (for additional information, visit the FEC website at http://www.fec.gov);
    • To report required information to the Pennsylvania Department of State Bureau of Campaign Finance & Lobbying Disclosure, including name and mailing address of individuals whose contributions exceed $50 in a reporting period, and including occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $250 in a reporting period (for additional information, visit the Pennsylvania Department of State’s Campaign Finance website at https://www.pa.gov/en/agencies/dos/programs/voting-and-elections/campaign-finance.html); 
    • When we believe in good faith that we are lawfully authorized or required to do so or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or legal processes or respond to lawful requests, claims or legal authorities, including responding to lawful subpoenas, warrants, or court orders;
    • When we believe in good faith that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to respond to claims or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pennsylvania United, our users, our employees, our volunteers, copyright owners, third parties, or the public, including without limitation to protect such parties from fraudulent, abusive, inappropriate, or unlawful activity or use of our Site.

The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, which information will not be shared with any third parties, provided that the foregoing does not apply to sharing (1) with vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (and who will not use such information for their own purposes); (2) if we believe disclosure is required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation or to comply with law enforcement or legal process.
