Crawford County Tenants’ Strike
WE WON’T PAY FOR REGAL’S NEGLECT!
CRAWFORD COUNTY TENANTS ON STRIKE FOR RESPECT AND AFFORDABLE LIVING
After trying for years to work with New York-based property ownership group Regal Communities to improve conditions at their mobile home parks, the tenant unions representing residents of Meadville’s Asbury Manor and Saegertown’s Fountain House went public with their demands of property management/ownership and took the huge step of going on an open-ended rent strike beginning in June.
Asbury Manor and Fountain House are home to nearly 70 households, with the vast majority fed up and refusing to continue living in unsafe, unhealthy conditions. Regal has also implemented a rent increase of 16%, making lot fees at Fountain House and Asbury Manor significantly higher than the average lot rent of other Crawford County mobile home parks.

Families should never have to live under the parks’ current conditions–animal infestations, undrivable roads, lack of maintenance, abandoned units. It’s dangerous, unhealthy, and tenants won’t stand for it, let alone pay more money for it.
Rent Strike in the News
Enough is Enough
No one deserves to be subjected to unsafe, unsanitary living conditions, while property management tries to stack additional cost burdens on their backs. Working families, seniors, and young people–our people, our neighbors- deserve to live in affordable, well maintained communities. Regal tenants are holding the line and standing together for their right to live with dignity!
